  i mean, is there really any scientific evidence to support their existence?.

  is it used as a scare tactic of thewts?.

  and i suppose if one doesn't believe in god, a belief in satan and demons and angels for that matter would be contradictory... im not sure what i believe now but would love to hear everyone's thoughts..

  i'm 'talking' with a jw on another site who of course, does not believe that they are 'false prophets' and says that:.

  "...prophetic inspiration and being filled with the spirit ( to use a common expression) do not mean the same thing.".

  "...again the wts is using the term "prophet" in the basic sense of a spokesman.

  Is the Watchtower shy about repeating their new "generation" teaching?

  as i recall in the 1980s talks and watchtower literature, magazines and books were always talking about the "generation" teaching and how it proved armageddon was going to come any day now.. but am i correct in thinking they have only actually mentioned the new "overlapping generations" teaching once or twice in the literature?

  why are they so shy about talking about their great new interpretation?

  it's almost enough to make you suspect they are a embarrassed about it.. mention it once or twice, don't dwell on it, hope everyone just accepts it, and don't bring it up again.

  I got sucked in because I was told "that generation were all old and Armageddon would come before they all die". They sucked me in through fear but now I see they condemn others for using the same tactics as them. They then tell you to see what the Bible says and low and behold if you know where to look they too are wrong.

  in the time of the end, (great tribulation/armageddon/whatever) the activities of jehovah's witnesses would be severely increasing?

  didn't they give the impression that they would have like 93% pioneers and be "studying" their literature with tons and tons of people who need to get into the organization before it's too late?

  isn't it supposed to be a great army?.

  update on the KIDS

  exciting times.... son moved out of his jw home this week amid uproar from mother because he has follwed my advice about moving out and starting a new job.

  visited him tonight in his new digs and he said: "don't know if i am going to stay in the truth"...!.

  my advice was if that is what he wants to do then perhaps now is the time to not go to the new local hall and do a fade.... daughter read animal farm for school and commented: "i can see a few similarities to the jws in that story".... my response was well, wait till you read 1984 darling!

  satan v jehovah

  thinking about these two characters you know.... the bible tells us what jehovah says satan is about and wants to do.. it also tells us what jehovah says he (jehovah) will do and his actions of what he has done.. the bible tells us of all the murder and mayhem cause by the israelites as they genocided their way through the middle east.. and who told them do this these evil deeds?.

  and why hasn't satan appeared on the late show to say..."you know guys, iv'e had a bad rap over the years so i thought i'd pop in and tell my side of the story".... oz.

  If killing is the worst crime against humanity there is, then "Jehovah" is way up there with numbers compared to Satan. Plus he is supposedly going to kill a few billion more soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!

  Given the choice now, and if either weren't just mythological beings, I would side with Satan!

  Had to sit through 'Creation Reveals God's Glory'

  with my parents last night.. i had seen the dvd before but there was an overall feeling of awkwardness when they played it this time.. they both came diving into the living room anxious to watch it, and though my mum usually gets emotional when things like this are brought up, she kept her cool and decided to lay down some "facts".

  things like "we are living in the last days, and the anglo-american world power is the last one.

  china will never be a world power.

  The planet is 70% water, so evolution would favour animals that used water and other natural resources to survive.

  If I were to create a "superior creature" that is "higher than the animals" to live on a planet with more water than land then I would create a creature that could breathe under water and for fun one that could fly through the air too.

  My dog has superior hearing and a better sense of smell than me. She can run faster than most humans too even though she is only 6 inches high.

  As for my brain, perhaps I would be better off not being aware that one day all those I care about will die.

  I am reeling from the "what if they did die" attitude. Perhaps they have never lost some-one in death so have absolutely no idea of the devastation and pain death causes.

  Statistically it is a women who has just given birth that is most at risk of death from the blood doctrine! So what if she died!!! What about her husband. What about her new born baby having to grow up with no Mum because of their "incorrect opinion at that time" which as since been adjusted.

  Their callousness makes me feel sick and disgusted and I deeply regret I tried to persuade others to belong to this evil religion.
